In my experience, American stand-up comedy is quite tame compared to the irreverence that is acceptable in Britain. Their tool kit also includes scatology, satire (particularly political) and irony. Do look up Billy Connolly on YouTube as an example. Robin Williams looks like he is reading from the Bible, in comparison :-)</description>

Standup comic is great...but not for the faint of heart! Too many crude words and loads of racial jokes. But i guess the good comics make sure they make fun of all ethnic groups so that no single group feels offended.</description>
